We stopped at the Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve on the sixth day of our Eastern Sierra Trip. The water was really calm that morning as the wind hadn’t picked up yet.
I got as close to the waterline as possible and got some photos of the tufa rocks and their reflection, which almost looks as if the rocks are floating in space, like in an asteroid field. Some split toning and false color adds to the otherworldly appearance…
