Yesterday, Alex and I went to the Dragonfly meetup of our photo club, organized by Steve Cirone. It’s the first time that I took pictures of dragonflies – thanks to the good tips from Steve, I was able to come home with some pictures that I really like, immediately. It was a fun event!

A honey bee feasting on blooming lavender at the Keys Creek Lavender Farm in San Diego’s north county.
Butterfly
A brief downpour surprised us when we visited the “flower island” Mainau at Lake Constance in Germany. We “fled” to the Butterfly House which was nearby. The butterflies were rather elusive and not easy to catch with the camera!
Toni @ Hollenbeck Canyon
We went for a Sunday afternoon hike to Hollenbeck Canyon in the south-eastern part of San Diego County (near Jamul, just off of Highway 94). The area is so pretty at the moment! The grass is tall and green and gently moves in the wind. Our little dog girl Toni celebrated her 10th birthday happily …
