A photo from our visit to Germany in 2014. In late Spring and early Summer, the pastures are full with wildflowers and the cows grazing there must be the happiest cows I’ve ever seen. 🙂
Third set of photos from our Germany vacation in May & June 2014.
A brief downpour surprised us when we visited the “flower island” Mainau at Lake Constance in Germany. We “fled” to the Butterfly House which was nearby. The butterflies were rather elusive and not easy to catch with the camera!
Pastures, acres, trees and distant forested hills near St. Peter in Germany’s Black Forest region. From our vacation last year in May/June.
A portion of Triberg Waterfall, the highest waterfalls in Germany – the combined height of all cascades is about 170 meters.
The idyllic old city center of Waldkirch im Breisgau, seen from Kastellburg.
We’re back from our vacation in the Black Forest region of Germany’s southwest for a while now, and I finally found the time to process a couple of images that work together nicely. These four photos were all made in the area of St. Märgen/St. Peter, which is something like a plateau/mesa above the deep valleys and forested areas.
Impressions from a visit to idyllic Königssee in Bavaria, and a short hike to Obersee and Röthbach waterfall. We were lucky with the weather, it was mostly sunny and only in the afternoon it became more cloudy and overcast.
